ENGINEERING SERVICES
Aquatic Engineers, Inc. was established in 1998 to provide integrated environmental planning, consulting and design engineering services. Our firm specializes in natural treatment systems including constructed wetlands and algal turf scrubbing. Our firm has made the technical investment to provide the full range of environmental engineering services necessary to assure the correct, complete, and timely executing of the project to the satisfaction of our clients, and in full compliance with State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations. Integrated with our engineering team, our specialized support staff includes planners; biologists; and construction, grant, and regulatory coordinators. We are proud of our uniqueness and would enthusiastically accept the opportunity to demonstrate our talents to you. In addition to aquatic life support systems, we have experience in sanitary, industrial and agricultural wastewaters, groundwater remediation and landfill leachate treatment. Our three professional engineers bring over 35 years of combined experience in environmental consulting to each project. Aquatic Engineers, Inc., in collaboration with Natural Concepts Engineering, Inc., provides design-consulting services for zoos, public aquariums, and wastewater facilities. AEI is currently working on plans, which will allow zoos and public aquariums to provide their own on-site wastewater treatment in lieu of discharging to municipal wastewater treatment facilities. The zoos/aquariums would not only save money by eliminating their sewer fees but could also use the on-site treatment facilities, such as constructed wetlands as part of their attractions. Constructed wetlands use plants to treat wastewater as opposed to conventional mechanical equipment.
